Gabriel was used to being odd man out, the only Omega born to his small, powerful pack. But with two older brothers who were both Alphas, they were usually more concerned with their own power plays than Gabriel and his search for a mate.

Fondly, Gabriel brushes the hair away from Sam's forehead. "'Course we do. " Call him sentimental, but Sam was bonded mate. They fit together because he'd been waiting his entire life for him. With a breathy sigh against his lips, Gabriel rocks down against him until Sam is comfortably seated in him.

"I'm yours Sammy. Always have been."

The swelling in his knot meant he couldn't get entirely into Gabriel, not yet. But it doesn't mean that he isn't comfortable. His hands stroke over Gabriel's sides and thighs, hips rocking against the other man. "And I've always been yours." Even if he'd never known it before that day in the bookshop. He shivered at the growl, automatically tilting his head to bear his neck to his Alpha. "Oh hell no. Want them everywhere."

That's something that Sam isn't ever likely to pass up. He pushes upward, going directly to the bared patch of neck and bites down, teeth still human blunt. There's no need to let his wolf out, after all. His hips push up at the same time, nudging at Gabriel just that bit more with his knot.

Sam doesn't need to sink his fangs into his skin. The simple pressure of blunt human teeth is enough and Gabriel hisses out his pleasure, working his hips down further along Sam's knot. Almost there. He tangles his fingers in hair, pressing him in close. "Fuck.. like that."

He can't really work with Gabriel as well as he'd like, not bent the way he is at the moment. It's just not really possible to fuck up into his mate without letting go of the hold on his neck and it's very obvious that neither of them wants that. Sam's hands tighten on Gabriel's hips, another low growl starting at the back of his throat as he sucks on the skin between his teeth as well.

Gabriel wraps his arms around Sam, keeping him right where he is. He might not be as powerful as his Alpha, but he can hold him up while he sucks a mark into his neck. It's awkward, but damned if he's going to break his rhythm when he's so close to taking all of his knot into him.

A sharp cry and his hands tightening along Sam's broad back and Gabriel finally takes him, the knot sending sparks of pleasure arcing up his spine.

The knot swells just a little more once Gabriel takes it in, locking them together more securely. It makes Sam groan, finally releasing Gabriel's neck to lick over the mark.

There's no rush, but a long separation followed by days of anxiety and Gabriel knows he's not going to last much longer. With a contented hum, Gabriel goes easily, sliding his arms beneath Sam and resting on his chest. He kisses his shoulder, giving a playful nip before settling in. "s' gonna be good to have you home Sam."

He huffed out a laugh, wrapping his arms around Gabriel and bending his head to kiss the top of Gabriel's. "It'll be really good to be home," he murmured, relaxing back against the bed. "I missed you so damned much."
