"You got it kiddo," his lips brush his forehead gently. A benediction as his hand settles on Sam's chest, warming him with another wash of grace. Sooner or later he would have to find a river to recharge, but for now he could afford a little extra healing and offset it with a long nap. Baby steps.
"Sleep for now. This isn't a dream and I promise you, we'll be here when you wake up," he vows.
Healing Sam was going to take some time - a few weeks by his estimation - but they'd manage. Sam was going to live and he finally had his soulmates to make damn sure that this time he stayed that way. No more grand sacrifices because there was nothing worth fighting for. If they were going to fight, it was for a future together.
