It was on the tip of Sam's tongue to invite Gabriel to the Winchester house for the holiday before he stifled the urge. A single, unbonded Omega in a house full of Alphas was just asking for trouble. Especially since Sam could already feel his hackles going up at the idea of anybody else touching Gabriel.
He pulled back on his wolf, hard, closing his eyes before blinking them open again. Still not entirely hazel, but closer to his usual color. "No, it really wasn't. Mom was a good woman. One of the best. But we've got each other and that helps a lot."
