Sam blinked at the statement, though, tearing his attention away from those eyes to look down at the book in his hands. "I don't think The Dresden Files counts as homework, do you?" He held up the book, but mostly because it gave him a reason to look back up. His nostrils flared as he took in the scent again, confirming what he thought he already knew.
