It was safe to say that, as long as Gabriel didn't want to see his brothers, Sam was not about to allow it to happen if it could be avoided. Especially not alone.
Still, he couldn't help a flash of almost humor when Lucifer actually spoke. "Thank you. Though I hear Michael's not as thrilled about it as we are."
And he still remembered too well the way Gabriel had sounded telling him, how hesitant he'd been, expecting Sam to be angry or upset. "If that was all you wanted, though, you could have sent a card. Or some flowers."
