Sam has always been good at Latin, even without the memories of his former lives. He had to be as a hunter and it had saved his life and Dean's life many times.
But for the moment, he isn't that hunter. He's not any of the lives he's lived before except that first one, the one where they first found each other and he fell in love with a god and a merchant woman who could have been a goddess.
He closes his eyes, turning his face into Gabriel's touch to his hair. "It's hard. I'm so very tired, Gabriel."
