Every day he dropped a little more of his guard and Gabriel found it refreshing - to know that Dean was just as candid and funny as 'David'. A little more vulnerable, a little more broken, but still a damned good kid at heart. So damnit, he just didn't feel right not telling him the truth too. Dean had already seen him let down his guard, he just didn't realize how much.

Now if he could just stuff down a minor well of panic that Dean wouldn't be able to handle it and would want him gone, he'd be peachy.
